Most of the parties in the Storting want to wind up Norway’s most important industry in the short or long term – without having a concrete plan on how to cover the state’s revenue gap. Typically, a full 20% of the national budget is subsidized by the oil and gas industry. To ensure a sustainable economy, the Liberals want to preserve this industry and the over 150,000 jobs it creates. 👷
